First off, no I did not come up with 100 Heads in 100 Days. I caught wind of it on Instagram and looked into it closer. Once I watched the TED Talk “Inspiration Wherever You Are, The 100 Days Project” by Emma Rogan, I was convinced it was what I needed.
I wasn’t sure I could do it. 100 seemed far too many to shoot for, mainly since I hadn’t drawn in a good four or five years. I have another post in mind to talk about WHY that occurred. But I figured I would start but-by-bit and shoot for 10, then 20, and so forth. I am now drawing number 75. Link to all 100 portraits currently posted.
Because I have to average one drawing a day for the time frame of 100 days, I can’t spend a great deal of time on each one. It forces me to keep moving and keep reaching for the quota. This also means I am NOT happy with them all. I’m currently thinking of going back through the ones that embarrass me to be seen and replacing them with another new drawing, during the month following completion of the 100.
